No. A student can start driver’s education without their temps however we will need a copy of these in their file plus they MUST have them in order for them to drive in any vehicle.

3. Do I have to start class on a certain day?

With our program you can start any day that you would like. You must attend a minimum of 24 hours of class but they do not have to be taken in order. If a student needs to miss a class for any reason they will need to make it up 2 weeks to the day. We repeat each classroom session every 2 weeks.

On your first day we ask you to bring your payment, a pen or pencil, a notebook, a positive attitude, and these forms:

(Please bring your temps if you have them so that we can make a copy for your file)

5. When can I schedule my behind the wheel driving sessions?

No later than the Monday after you complete the classroom portion of the education and we have a complete file.  This includes passing test scores, copy of temps, as well as signed agreement, notes and policies, and medical forms.

6. What happens if I am late for class?

The state of Ohio requires a minimum of 24 hours of classroom education. If you are running behind it is probably in your best interest to make the class up. We do not admit students who are late.

7. Can I pick my instructor?

All of our instructors are State of Ohio Certified as Class D Driving Instructors. Each has received the same excellence in their training and spent over 75 hours with the School’s Training Manager (he’s been at it for 15 years and has taken over 3000 students). Please refer to the “Remember The Following” tips given out in class, believe us, it the best way to successfully complete driver education.

8. How long does it take to complete driver’s education?

There is a minimum of 24 hours of classroom education which is 8 days Monday – Thursday for 2 weeks. After the classroom, you need 4- 2 hour driving training sessions. Our goal is to complete students in about 45 days, however during the summer months, especially right before school, there are times that we have a couple week lag between a student getting out of class and being able to start driving. Please refer to “Remember The Following” for our suggestions and remember, one instructor only for behind-the-wheel and as close to 4 days straight as possible.

9. What happens if I miss a driving appointment or don’t have my temps?

We require a 24 hour notice for canceling driving appointments. Failure to give a 24 hour notice will result in a missed appointment fee being levied against your account and all future driving sessions canceled. This is also the case if you do not have your temps. The state requires all drivers to have their license with them when driving.

10. What will I need to take my state test?

When you go to take your state test they will require a copy of your certificate, your temps, along with the 50 hour AFFIDAVIT. Remember that this need to be notarized. This is the form that says that you have driven with your parent or guardian at least 50 hours 10 of which had to be at night.
